Withdraw from Elysium to HyperEVM and Hyperliquid: Full Guide
To withdraw from Elysium, use the canonical bridge to send HYPE or a bridged ERC-20 back to HyperEVM. HYPE comes back 1:1. Withdrawals are optimistic, so funds finalize on HyperEVM only after a challenge period; check the bridge interface for the current wait. From HyperEVM you can then move HYPE to your Hyperliquid (HyperCore) account.
Getting money onto a new chain is easy. Getting it back off is where people get confused, especially on rollups with a waiting period. This guide explains how withdrawing from Elysium works, why it is not instant, what changes for tokens born on Elysium, and how to get HYPE all the way back to Hyperliquid.
How do withdrawals from Elysium work?
Elysium is an Arbitrum Orbit chain built by Kinetiq that settles to HyperEVM, Hyperliquid's EVM layer. Its bridge works like other Orbit bridges:
- Deposits (HyperEVM to Elysium) arrive quickly, because Elysium simply credits you once the deposit is seen on HyperEVM.
- Withdrawals (Elysium to HyperEVM) are optimistic. Your withdrawal is posted, and it becomes final on HyperEVM only after a challenge period passes without a valid dispute.
At launch, validation is permissioned, and Kinetiq has said permissionless fraud proofs through Arbitrum BoLD are planned. The challenge period exists so that an incorrect state can be disputed before funds are released. The exact length is set by the chain's configuration and shown in the bridge interface, so read it there instead of relying on a number from social media. For how this design fits together, see Elysium's Arbitrum Orbit tech stack.
What are the steps to withdraw HYPE from Elysium?
- Open the official canonical bridge linked from Kinetiq's Elysium documentation. Do not use a bridge link from a DM or a random reply.
- Connect your wallet and make sure it is on Elysium mainnet (chain ID 99901).
- Choose the direction Elysium to HyperEVM and select HYPE.
- Enter the amount, leaving a little HYPE on Elysium for gas.
- Confirm the withdrawal transaction on Elysium.
- Wait for the challenge period shown in the bridge.
- Return to the bridge and claim, if the interface asks you to execute the final step on HyperEVM (chain ID 999). That claim costs HYPE gas on HyperEVM.
Keep a small amount of HYPE on HyperEVM too. If the final claim needs a HyperEVM transaction and you hold zero HYPE there, you will be stuck until you top up.

Is HYPE really 1:1 when you bridge back?
Yes. HYPE on Elysium is the same HYPE bridged from HyperEVM, with no wrapper token. Withdrawing burns or releases it on Elysium and unlocks the same amount on HyperEVM, minus the gas you pay for the transactions. There is no exchange rate to worry about.
How do you withdraw tokens that were created on Elysium?
There are two kinds of tokens to think about.
| Token type | Example | Route back |
|---|---|---|
| HYPE | Gas token | Canonical bridge, 1:1 |
| HyperEVM ERC-20 bridged to Elysium | A token that started on HyperEVM | Canonical bridge via Orbit gateways |
| Elysium-native token | A memecoin launched on an Elysium pad | Mirror bridge to HyperEVM / HyperCore |
Elysium-native tokens did not start on HyperEVM, so the canonical gateway has nothing to unlock on the other side. Kinetiq describes a "mirror bridge" for bringing these tokens to HyperEVM and HyperCore. Whether a given memecoin is supported, and how, depends on that bridge, so check it before you assume you can move a coin off Elysium. For most memecoins the simplest exit is to sell for HYPE on Elysium first, then withdraw HYPE. Our guide on buying and selling coins on Elysium covers swapping, and you can sell directly from any coin page on ElyScreener with your own wallet.
How do you get HYPE from HyperEVM back to Hyperliquid?
Once your HYPE is on HyperEVM, you still need to move it into your Hyperliquid account on HyperCore if you want to trade perps or spot there. Hyperliquid supports transfers between HyperEVM and HyperCore through system addresses, and many wallets and the Hyperliquid app expose this as a simple transfer between "EVM" and "Core" balances. Use the method shown in the official Hyperliquid interface, and send a small test amount first. Our explainer on Hyperliquid, HyperEVM and Elysium shows how the three layers connect.
Tips to avoid problems when withdrawing
- Plan for the wait. Do not withdraw funds you need urgently. Start the withdrawal well before you need it.
- Bookmark the bridge. Fake bridge sites are a common way wallets get drained on new chains.
- Test small. Send a small amount first and complete the full flow, including the claim.
- Save the transaction hash. If the claim step is not shown later, the hash lets you find your withdrawal again.
- Watch both networks. Your wallet must be on Elysium to start and may need HyperEVM to finish.
- Understand fast exits. Third-party bridges may offer quicker exits by fronting liquidity. That adds their own smart-contract and counterparty risk. Not financial advice; check any bridge before using it.
What if my withdrawal seems stuck?
Most "stuck" withdrawals are simply still inside the challenge period, or waiting for a claim that nobody clicked. Before you worry, look up the withdrawal transaction hash on the Elysium explorer to confirm it succeeded, then reopen the bridge with the same wallet and check its pending list. If the bridge shows the withdrawal as ready, run the claim on HyperEVM. If the Elysium transaction failed, your funds never left Elysium. Never share your seed phrase with anyone offering to "unstick" a withdrawal; real support will never ask for it.

FAQ
How long does it take to withdraw from Elysium?
Withdrawals finalize after a challenge period because Elysium uses optimistic rollup security. The bridge interface shows the current wait; check it before you start.
Why is withdrawing from Elysium slower than depositing?
Deposits are credited once seen on HyperEVM, but withdrawals must pass a challenge period so incorrect states can be disputed before funds are released.
Can I withdraw a memecoin from Elysium to Hyperliquid?
Elysium-native tokens move through the mirror bridge, if supported. For most memecoins it is simpler to sell for HYPE on Elysium, then withdraw HYPE.
Do I lose anything when bridging HYPE back from Elysium?
Only gas. HYPE bridges 1:1 in both directions with no wrapper token.
How do I move HYPE from HyperEVM to my Hyperliquid account?
Use the transfer between EVM and Core balances in the official Hyperliquid interface or a supporting wallet, and test with a small amount first.
