Elysium HyperCore Integration: Order Books, CoreWriter, Timeline
Elysium's HyperCore integration will let smart contracts on Elysium read live Hyperliquid market data through a precompile and send trade orders to a user's HyperCore account through a predeploy called ElysiumCoreWriter. It is not live at mainnet on November 9, 2026. Kinetiq plans to ship it in an ArbOS upgrade roughly four weeks after mainnet.
This is the feature that makes Elysium more than "a faster HyperEVM". Below we explain what HyperCore is, how the two pieces work, what builders can do with them, and where the limits are.
What is HyperCore, and why connect Elysium to it?
Hyperliquid has two parts. HyperCore is the high-performance engine that runs Hyperliquid's on-chain order books for perps and spot. HyperEVM is the EVM environment beside it, where Solidity contracts run. Elysium is a Layer-2 that settles to HyperEVM. Our Hyperliquid, HyperEVM and Elysium explainer covers how the three fit together.
Most of the deep liquidity in the Hyperliquid ecosystem sits on HyperCore's order books. An app on Elysium that can see those books and place orders on them can build products that a standalone AMM chain cannot. That is the point of the integration.
How will Elysium contracts read Hyperliquid order books?
Through a precompile: a built-in contract address that returns HyperCore market data when called, the same way Ethereum precompiles return hashes or signature checks.
- Granularity: about 70 ms. Data is updated in roughly 70 ms steps.
- Freshness: about 150 to 350 ms behind HyperCore when your contract reads it.
- Trust model: the data is attested by Elysium's sequencer. Your contract trusts that the sequencer reported HyperCore's state honestly.
For a contract, it looks like a normal view call. No oracle network, no keeper bot pushing prices. That cuts cost and latency for any app that needs a live Hyperliquid price.
How will contracts route orders to HyperCore?
Through ElysiumCoreWriter, a contract pre-deployed at a fixed address on Elysium. A contract calls it to send a trade-only order to the user's own HyperCore account.
- Trade-only: the writer is for placing trades, not for arbitrary account actions.
- User's account: orders go to the HyperCore account of the user, not into a shared pool controlled by the app.
- Latency: about 100 to 200 ms from the Elysium call to the order on HyperCore.
Put the two together and an Elysium contract can read a price, decide, and place an order on Hyperliquid in well under a second. Exact interfaces, address and permission rules will be published by Kinetiq with the upgrade. Until then, treat any code samples you see as unofficial.
When will HyperCore integration go live on Elysium?
| Milestone | Date | HyperCore access |
|---|---|---|
| Public testnet | September 22, 2026 | No |
| Mainnet announced | October 19, 2026 | No |
| Mainnet launch | November 9, 2026 | No |
| Planned ArbOS upgrade | About 4 weeks after mainnet | Read precompile and ElysiumCoreWriter |
"About four weeks" is a plan, not a promise. Chain upgrades slip. Follow the mainnet launch page and Kinetiq's own official site for the confirmed date.
What will HyperCore integration enable?
Several product types become practical once contracts can see and trade on HyperCore:
- Perps-aware AMMs. An AMM on Elysium can price its pool off Hyperliquid's live order book instead of only its own reserves. That can reduce how much arbitrageurs extract from liquidity providers.
- Hedging. A market maker or LP vault can hold spot exposure on Elysium and hedge it with a perp on HyperCore automatically, from the same contract logic.
- Vaults and structured products. Strategy vaults can run rules like "buy on Elysium, short on HyperCore" without an off-chain bot holding keys.
- Smarter launchpads. Pads could use HyperCore prices for pricing logic or protective features. Whether any pad does this is up to each team.
- Better data for traders. Apps and screeners can show HyperCore context next to Elysium pools.
None of these exist on day one. Expect early versions to appear in the weeks after the upgrade, and expect early versions to have bugs.
What are the limits?
- Not at launch. Anything that claims HyperCore routing before the upgrade is not using this feature.
- Sequencer-attested data. The precompile's numbers come through Elysium's single sequencer. That is a trust assumption on top of Hyperliquid itself. Read is Elysium safe for the wider security model.
- Not real-time. 150 to 350 ms freshness is fast, but a contract will not see the exact current book. High-frequency strategies must account for that gap.
- Trade-only writes. ElysiumCoreWriter places trades. It is not a general bridge for moving funds; token movements still go through the canonical bridge or the mirror bridge.
- Async by nature. An order sent to HyperCore lands 100 to 200 ms later. A contract cannot assume a fill inside the same Elysium transaction.
What does this mean for traders on ElyScreener?
Short term, nothing changes. Elysium coins trade in pools on Elysium, and ElyScreener shows those pools live. After the upgrade, watch for new pools and vaults that advertise HyperCore hedging, and check them like any other contract. Our ecosystem overview will track which apps adopt it. A new feature is not a safety guarantee, and no app using it can promise returns.
For builders: develop and test your normal contract logic now on testnet. Keep the HyperCore read and write calls behind an interface so you can plug in the official addresses when the upgrade ships.
FAQ
Can Elysium contracts read Hyperliquid prices?
Yes, after the planned upgrade. A precompile will return live HyperCore market data with about 70 ms granularity and 150 to 350 ms freshness, attested by the sequencer.
What is ElysiumCoreWriter?
A predeployed contract on Elysium that lets other contracts send trade-only orders to the user's HyperCore account, landing in about 100 to 200 ms.
Is HyperCore integration live at Elysium mainnet?
No. Mainnet launches November 9, 2026 without it. The integration is planned for an ArbOS upgrade about four weeks later.
Does Elysium HyperCore integration need an oracle?
No external oracle is needed for HyperCore data. The trade-off is that the data is attested by Elysium's sequencer.
Can I move funds to HyperCore with ElysiumCoreWriter?
It is designed for trade-only orders. Moving tokens between Elysium, HyperEVM and HyperCore uses the canonical bridge and the mirror bridge.
