Kinetiq Elysium vs Vulcan Forged Elysium: Which Is Which?

ElyScreener · November 4, 2026

Kinetiq's Elysium is a Layer-2 for Hyperliquid that uses HYPE for gas, with mainnet chain ID 99901 (testnet 99801). Vulcan Forged's Elysium is a separate, older Layer-1 built for gaming, tied to PYR and LAVA, with chain IDs 1338 and 1339. They share a name and nothing else, and neither is the ELYS token from Elys Network.

Searching "Elysium blockchain" returns results for at least two unrelated chains and a handful of tokens with similar names. If you add the wrong network to your wallet or buy the wrong ticker, you can end up sending funds somewhere you did not intend. This page sorts out which Elysium is which and how to make sure your wallet is on the right one.

What is Kinetiq's Elysium?

Kinetiq, the team behind kHYPE liquid staking and Markets.xyz on Hyperliquid, built Elysium as a Layer-2 that settles to HyperEVM. It runs on Arbitrum Orbit and is designed for trading apps, launchpads and AMMs that need more room than HyperEVM's small blocks allow. Gas is paid in HYPE, bridged 1:1 from HyperEVM. Its public testnet went live on September 22, 2026 and its mainnet launches on November 9, 2026. There is no Elysium token and no official points program, as of the mainnet announcement.

This is the Elysium that ElyScreener tracks: launchpads such as Boxa, Kleos and ElysPump, memecoins, smart-money wallets and the rest. For the full picture, read what is Elysium.

What is Vulcan Forged's Elysium?

Vulcan Forged is a blockchain gaming ecosystem. Its Elysium is an independent Layer-1 chain built for that ecosystem, linked to the PYR and LAVA tokens, with chain IDs 1338 and 1339. It predates Kinetiq's Elysium and has no connection to Hyperliquid, HYPE or Kinetiq. ElyScreener does not track it.

What about ELYS and other "Elysium" tokens?

Three more sources of confusion come up often:

If anyone offers you "the Elysium token" or an Elysium airdrop claim, be careful. See Elysium token price and Elysium airdrop for what is and is not confirmed.

Kinetiq's own governance token is KNTQ, not an Elysium token. Half of Elysium's sequencer fees go to open-market KNTQ buybacks and burns. Our KNTQ explainer covers it.

How do I make sure my wallet is on the right Elysium network?

The chain ID is the fastest test. Names can be anything, but chain IDs are unique for practical purposes.

  1. Open your wallet's network settings and find the network called Elysium.
  2. Check the chain ID. For Kinetiq's Elysium mainnet it should be 99901; for its testnet, 99801.
  3. Check the currency symbol is HYPE.
  4. Check the RPC URL. Kinetiq's testnet RPC is https://testnet-rpc.elysium.kinetiq.xyz. For mainnet, community RPCs include https://rpc-live.elysp.com and https://rpc-live.boxa.club, and Kinetiq is expected to publish an official one.
  5. If you see chain ID 1338 or 1339, that is Vulcan Forged's chain. Rename or remove it so you do not mix them up.

Our step-by-step guide to adding Elysium to MetaMask shows each field. When you connect a wallet to ElyScreener for in-site buys, it asks for chain 99901, which is another quick check.

How can you tell which Elysium an article or post is about?

Search results, videos and posts rarely say which Elysium they mean in the title. A few quick clues sort them out:

If a post mixes clues from both, for example HYPE and PYR together, treat it as unreliable. The same goes for anything that promises a token swap between the two chains. No such bridge or migration has been announced.

Why does the mix-up matter?

When in doubt, check the chain ID and start from Kinetiq's official site, kinetiq.xyz. None of this is financial advice.
